Quality Assurance at IMI

The “Quality label for Swiss Tourism” programme is supported by all major Swiss tourism associations. Its purpose is to enhance and safeguard the quality of service in Switzerland. The level QQQ means that IMI has successfully implemented a comprehensive and internationally recognized Quality Management System.

IMI has obtained the certification EDUQUA for its pre-sessional programmes. This is the Swiss quality label for further education institutions.

The Manchester Metropolitan University – IMI relationship received the endorsement of the independent UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education. In its report, the QAA gave its highest possible commendation, “broad confidence in the standards of its awards offered in association with the Institute”.

The Manchester Metropolitan University - Educational Partner with IMI for over 15 years. The Hollings faculty is one of the oldest centres for hotel management qualifications in the UK and Europe Hollings, the Department of Food and Tourism Management has been officially recognized as a ‘Centre of Excellence' for teaching and has strong links with industry and professional bodies which helps to ensure that our programmes and research projects are relevant to the needs of the industry. All IMI’s undergraduate programmes are validated by the Manchester Metropolitan University ensuring the highest quality assurance standards are maintained. All stage awards (Foundation, Certificate and Diploma in Higher Education) and the final BA (Hons) are dual awards by both MMU and IMI.
